Emirates Hills Family Home

2022 · Emirates Hills

A long-term family home re-planned around how the family actually lives in it.

After a decade in the same villa, the owners wanted something less formal — fewer rooms set aside for occasions that rarely happened, more space for the rhythm of an ordinary week. We re-planned the ground floor around a single open volume, kept the textures soft and the colours muted, and let a small number of considered pieces carry the room.

Upstairs, each bedroom was treated as its own quiet world, with built-in seating, layered lighting and a strict economy of pattern — the kind of restraint that makes a house feel finished without ever feeling staged.
